Summary

CVE-2024-27296 is a vulnerability affecting Directus, a real-time API and App dashboard for managing SQL database content. In versions prior to 10.8.3, the exact Directus version number was unintentionally included in compiled JS bundles, which can be accessed without authentication. This information can be exploited by malicious attackers to search for known vulnerabilities in Directus or any of its dependencies present in the specific running version. The issue has been addressed in versions 10.8.3 and later.
