Summary

CVE-2024-27217 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting OpenHarmony versions 4.0.0 and older. This issue permits a local attacker to execute arbitrary code in pre-installed apps due to a use after free condition. The vulnerability arises from insufficient memory management, allowing an adversary to manipulate memory and inject malicious code. Successful exploitation could lead to significant security risks, including data theft and system compromise.
