Summary

CVE-2024-27133 is a vulnerability affecting MLflow, an open-source machine learning platform. This issue arises due to insufficient sanitization of user datasets, leading to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. When a user runs an MLflow recipe containing the malicious dataset in Jupyter Notebook, the vulnerability escalates into a client-side Remote Code Execution (RCE) threat. The root cause of this vulnerability lies in the lack of proper sanitization over the fields in the dataset table.
