Summary
CVE-2024-27103 is a vulnerability affecting Querybook, a Big Data Querying UI. The issue arises from the use of the dangerouslySetInnerHTML function to mark and highlight search results. This function does not sanitize the data inside of queries, leading to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. During the query auto-suggestion feature, the suggested table names are set using innerHTML, making them susceptible to XSS attacks. The vulnerability has been addressed in Querybook version 3.31.2 with a patch.
