CVE-2024-27087

Summary

CVE-2024-27087 is a vulnerability affecting the Kirby content management system. In its latest version, Kirby 4, a new "Custom" link type was introduced, which allows the javascript: URL scheme for advanced use cases. While intended for flexibility, this feature poses a security risk as it allows attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript code when a user clicks on a manipulated link generated from the "Custom" link field. This issue is resolved in the patched version 4.1.1.
