Summary

CVE-2024-2648 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Netentsec NS-ASG Application Security Gateway version 6.3. An unidentified function in the file /nac/naccheck.php is the source of this issue. The vulnerability stems from improper handling of user input in xpath expressions, which can be exploited through manipulation of the 'username' argument. This issue enables remote attacks and is currently publicly disclosed, increasing the risk for potential exploitation. VDB-257286 is the assigned identifier for this vulnerability, and despite early notification, the vendor has yet to respond.
