Summary

CVE-2024-26265 is a vulnerability affecting Liferay Portal versions 7.2.0 through 7.4.3.15, and older unsupported editions, as well as Liferay DXP versions before update 16, 7.3 before update 4, 7.2 before fix pack 19, and older unsupported versions. The Image Uploader module in these systems utilizes a request parameter to restrict file size uploads. This vulnerability allows authenticated remote users to upload arbitrarily large files to the system's temp folder by manipulating the `maxFileSize` parameter, potentially leading to resource exhaustion or system instability.
