Summary

CVE-2024-26161 is a remote code execution vulnerability affecting Microsoft's Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) OLE DB provider for SQL Server. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending specially crafted data to a target system, resulting in arbitrary code execution with elevated privileges. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to organizations that use SQL Server with WDAC, as it allows an attacker to bypass application control protections and gain unauthorized access to the system.
