Summary

CVE-2024-26149 is a vulnerability affecting Vyper, a pythonic Smart Contract Language for the Ethereum Virtual Machine. When an excessively large value is given as the starting index for an array in `_abi_decode`, the read position can overflow, resulting in the decoding of values outside the intended array bounds. This issue can potentially lead to exploitations in contracts that utilize arrays within `_abi_decode`. This vulnerability impacts versions 0.3.10 and earlier.
