Summary

CVE-2024-25942 is a vulnerability affecting Dell PowerEdge Servers. The issue lies in the BIOS's improper communication buffer verification in the System Management Mode (SMM). A high privileged attacker with physical access to the server can potentially exploit this flaw, enabling arbitrary writes to SMRAM.
