Summary

CVE-2024-25603 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Liferay Portal versions 7.2.0 through 7.4.3.4, and older unsupported editions, as well as Liferay DXP versions 7.4.13, 7.3 before update 4, 7.2 before fix pack 17, and older unsupported versions. This security flaw enables remote authenticated users to inject malicious web scripts or HTML code via the instanceId parameter within the DDMForm in Liferay Portal's Dynamic Data Mapping module. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to unauthorized access, data theft, or other malicious activities. Users are strongly encouraged to update their systems to the latest patched versions to mitigate this risk.
