Summary

CVE-2024-25144 is a vulnerability affecting Liferay Portal versions 7.2.0 through 7.4.3.26 and older unsupported releases, as well as Liferay DXP versions 7.4 before update 27, 7.3 before update 6, and 7.2 before fix pack 19, and their older unsupported counterparts. This issue lies within the IFrame widget, which fails to verify the URL of the embedded frame. Consequently, authenticated attackers can induce a denial-of-service (DoS) by implementing a self-referencing IFrame. This flaw could potentially disrupt the user experience and impact the availability of affected systems.
