Summary

CVE-2024-25119 is a vulnerability affecting the TYPO3 content management system. The issue allows unauthorized access to the encryption key used for verifying the authenticity of HTTP request parameters in the TYPO3 Install Tool user interface. This key, represented as `$GLOBALS['SYS']['encryptionKey']`, is displayed in plaintext in editing forms. This vulnerability poses a risk for attackers who gain administrator-level backend access with system maintainer permissions. Affected versions include TYPO3 8.7, 9.5, 10.4, 11.5, 12.4, and 13.0. Users are advised to update to the fixes for TYPO3 8.7.57 ELTS, 9.5.46 ELTS, 10.4.43 ELTS, 11.5.35 LTS, 12.4.11 LTS, and 13.0.1 to mitigate this issue. No known workarounds are available.
