Summary

CVE-2024-24921 is a newly identified vulnerability that affects Simcenter Femap versions prior to V2401.0000. This cybersecurity issue arises due to memory corruption that occurs while the application processes specially crafted Catia MODEL files. An attacker who successfully exploits this vulnerability can execute arbitrary code within the affected process, potentially leading to significant security implications. The ZDI (Zero Day Initiative) has assigned the identifier ZDI-CAN-21712 to this issue.
