Summary

CVE-2024-2486 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability impacting Tenda AC18 devices running firmware version 15.03.05.05. This issue resides in the function formQuickIndex of the /goform/QuickIndex file, and it allows for stack-based buffer overflow via manipulation of the PPPOEPassword argument. An attacker can take advantage of this remotely, leading to potential code execution and system compromise. The exploit for this vulnerability (VDB-256893) has already been made public, increasing the risk for potential attacks.
