Summary

CVE-2024-2485 is a critical vulnerability affecting the Tenda AC18 router with firmware version 15.03.05.05. This issue lies in the function formSetSpeedWan of the /goform/SetSpeedWan file, where the argument speed_dir can be manipulated to trigger a stack-based buffer overflow. As a result, an attacker can exploit this vulnerability remotely. The exploit for this issue has been made public, increasing the risk for potential attacks. This vulnerability is identified as VDB-256892, and despite early disclosure, the vendor has not responded to the issue.
