Summary

CVE-2024-24767 is a vulnerability affecting the CasaOS-UserService in CasaOS versions 0.4.4.3 and prior to 0.4.7. This component provides user management functionalities, but fails to protect against password brute force attacks. Attackers can exploit this weakness to gain unauthorized access to the server, ultimately obtaining super user-level privileges. The web application does not regulate login attempts, leaving the system vulnerable to brute force attacks. The latest version, 0.4.7, includes a patch to mitigate this issue.
