Summary

CVE-2024-24755 is a vulnerability affecting the Discourse plugin, discourse-group-membership-ip-block. This plugin, which enables group membership based on IP addresses, inadvertently discloses group custom fields to clients. The issue arises because the plugin transmits all group custom fields, including those from other plugins, which may assume their custom fields remain confidential. This disclosure can potentially lead to unauthorized access or manipulation of sensitive information.
