Summary

CVE-2024-24751 affects the sf_event_mgt extension, an event management and registration tool for the TYPO3 Content Management System (CMS). In certain versions, a break in access control occurred during the update to TYPO3 12.4, allowing unauthorized access to backend events. The vulnerability stems from the mismanagement of `RedirectResponse` from the `$this->redirect()` function, leaving it unhandled. Users are strongly advised to upgrade to version 7.4.0 to resolve this issue, and no known workarounds are available.
