Summary

CVE-2024-24573 is a vulnerability affecting versions 4.5.0 and earlier of the facileManager suite of web apps. This issue allows non-admin users to arbitrarily set their permissions during a profile update, resulting in the granting of super user privileges. The affected endpoint is server/fm-modules/facileManager/ajax/processPost.php, where user input is not sufficiently validated or filtered, making it susceptible to this type of manipulation. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as it enables unauthorized access and control over the system.
