Summary

CVE-2024-2445 is a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Mattermost Jira plugin. Affected versions include those shipped with Mattermost 8.1.x before 8.1.10, 9.2.x before 9.2.6, 9.3.x before 9.3.2, and 9.4.x before 9.4.3. The issue lies in the plugin's failure to properly escape user-controlled inputs when generating HTML pages. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious scripts into a victim's web browser, potentially stealing sensitive information or taking control of their account.
