Summary

CVE-2024-24023 is a newly disclosed SQL injection vulnerability affecting Novel-Plus v4.3.0-RC1 and older versions. An attacker can exploit this flaw by passing maliciously crafted offset, limit, and sort parameters to the /novel/bookContent/list endpoint. Successful exploitation may allow the attacker to execute unauthorized SQL statements, potentially leading to the exposure of sensitive data or the ability to modify or delete data within the affected system. This vulnerability can pose a serious threat to the security of the Novel-Plus platform, and it is strongly recommended that users upgrade to the latest version or apply appropriate patches as soon as possible to mitigate the risk.
