Details
Summary
CVE-2024-2392 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Blocksy Companion plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to and including 2.0.31, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes within the Newsletter widget. Consequently, authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above can inject arbitrary web scripts, which execute when a user accesses an injected page. These scripts could potentially steal sensitive information, modify data, or perform other malicious actions. Users are advised to update the plugin to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
