Summary

CVE-2024-23904 is a vulnerability affecting the Jenkins Log Command Plugin version 1.0.2 and earlier. The issue lies in the plugin's command parser, which fails to disable a feature that interprets '@' followed by a file path in an argument as a file reference and replaces it with the file's contents. Consequently, unauthenticated attackers can read arbitrary files on the Jenkins controller file system. This vulnerability poses a significant risk as it enables information disclosure, potentially leading to further exploitation. Users of the Jenkins Log Command Plugin are advised to update to the latest version to mitigate this threat.
