Summary
CVE-2024-23880 is a newly reported vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory), version 1.0. The issue lies in the insufficient encoding of user-controlled inputs in the /cupseasylive/taxcodelist.php file, which leads to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the description parameter. A remote attacker can exploit this flaw by crafting a malicious URL and sending it to an authenticated user. Successful exploitation could enable the attacker to steal the user's session cookie credentials.
