Summary

CVE-2024-23876 is a newly reported vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) version 1.0. This issue stems from insufficient encoding of user-controlled inputs, leading to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The susceptible component is located in /cupseasylive/taxstructurecreate.php, specifically within the description parameter. An attacker can exploit this XSS vulnerability by crafting a malicious URL and sending it to an authenticated user. Upon clicking the malicious link, the attacker could potentially steal the user's session cookie credentials, granting unauthorized access to the affected system.
