Summary
CVE-2024-23872 is a newly reported vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory) version 1.0. This issue stems from insufficient encoding of user-controlled inputs, leading to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. The vulnerability lies in the /cupseasylive/locationmodify.php file, specifically the description parameter. A remote attacker can exploit this weakness by crafting a malicious URL and sending it to an authenticated user. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to pilfer the user's session cookie credentials.
