Summary

CVE-2024-23855 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Cups Easy (Purchase & Inventory), version 1.0. The issue stems from insufficient encoding of user-controlled inputs, leading to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This weakness is found in the /cupseasylive/taxcodemodify.php file, impacting multiple parameters. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by crafting a malicious URL and sending it to an authenticated user. Successful exploitation could result in the theft of the user's session cookie credentials, granting the attacker unauthorized access to the affected system.
