Summary

CVE-2024-23851 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux kernel through version 6.7.1. In the file drivers/md/dm-ioctl.c, the function copy_params in ctl_ioctl does not adequately check the size of data being copied. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by attempting to allocate more than INT_MAX bytes, resulting in a crash. This issue could potentially be exploited to cause a denial-of-service or gain unauthorized access.
