Summary

CVE-2024-23835 is a vulnerability affecting Suricata, an open-source network Intrusion Detection System and Security Monitoring engine. Prior to version 7.0.3, the pgsql parsing function in Suricata used excess memory, potentially leading to Out-of-Memory (OOM) crashes. This issue is resolved in version 7.0.3. As a temporary measure, users can disable the pgsql app layer parser.
