Summary

CVE-2024-23809 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting The Biosig Project's libbiosig 2.5.0 and Master Branch (ab0ee111). This issue involves a double-free vulnerability in the BrainVision ASCII Header Parsing functionality. A maliciously crafted .vdhr file can exploit this weakness, resulting in arbitrary code execution. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability by supplying a specially crafted file to unsuspecting victims, potentially gaining unauthorized access or control.
