Summary

CVE-2024-23751 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting LlamaIndex, specifically versions up to 0.9.34. The Text-to-SQL feature in several LlamaIndex components, including NLSQLTableQueryEngine, SQLTableRetrieverQueryEngine, NLSQLRetriever, RetrieverQueryEngine, and PGVectorSQLQueryEngine, is susceptible to SQL injection attacks. An attacker can manipulate English language input to execute malicious SQL commands, potentially causing harm such as deletion of critical data, like this year's student records.
