Summary

CVE-2024-23633: In older versions of Label Studio, a remote import feature allowed malicious HTML files to be downloaded and executed, potentially leading to unauthorized actions on the platform. The vulnerability was due to server-side request forgery and inadequate Content-Type checks. An attacker could download a malicious HTML file with a specific filename and extension, which would be executed when visited. Label Studio version 1.10.1 includes a patch for this issue. To enhance security, it is recommended to set the `Content-Security-Policy: sandbox;` response header for all user-provided files or restrict the allowed file extensions for downloads.
