Summary

CVE-2024-23614 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Symantec Messaging Gateway versions 9.5 and older. This issue allows a remote, anonymous attacker to exploit the vulnerability and execute arbitrary code with root privileges. The buffer overflow occurs due to improper handling of specially crafted input, potentially leading to memory corruption and remote code execution.
