Summary
CVE-2024-23525 is a vulnerability affecting the Spreadsheet::ParseXLSX package prior to version 0.30 used in Perl applications. This issue permits XML External Entity (XXE) attacks due to the package's failure to implement the no_xxe option in XML::Twig, leaving it open to malicious XML input that could lead to data exposure or server compromise.
