Summary

CVE-2024-23108 is a critical vulnerability affecting Fortinet FortiSIEM versions 7.1.0 through 7.1.1, 7.0.0 through 7.0.2, 6.7.0 through 6.7.8, 6.6.0 through 6.6.3, and 6.5.0 through 6.5.2, as well as 6.4.0 through 6.4.2. This issue enables attackers to execute unauthorized code or commands by exploiting an improper neutralization of special elements used in operating system commands (os command injection) in API requests. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, allowing attackers to gain unauthorized access to FortiSIEM systems and potentially compromise sensitive data. Users are advised to update their FortiSIEM software as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
