Summary

CVE-2024-22942: The TOTOLINK A3300R router with firmware version V17.0.0cu.557_B20221024 was found to have a command injection vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending malicious input through the hostName parameter during a call to the setWanCfg function. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges, potentially leading to significant compromise of the affected device or network. It is recommended that users apply the latest security patches to mitigate this risk.
