Summary

CVE-2024-22749 is a newly identified buffer overflow vulnerability affecting GPAC v2.3. The issue is located in the function gf_isom_new_generic_sample_description within isomedia/isom_write.c at line 4577. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by supplying specially crafted input to trigger the buffer overflow, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution and system compromise. Organizations using GPAC v2.3 are urged to apply patches or upgrades as soon as possible to mitigate this risk.
