Summary

CVE-2024-2242 is a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting Contact Form 7, a popular WordPress plugin. The issue, present in all versions up to 5.9, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of the 'active-tab' parameter. Unauthenticated attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages, posing a risk when users are tricked into executing these scripts by clicking on malicious links.
