Summary

CVE-2024-22416 is a vulnerability affecting pyLoad, an open-source download manager written in Python. The issue stems from the lack of the `SameSite: strict` attribute in the session cookie, making it susceptible to Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. Unauthenticated users can exploit this vulnerability to execute any API call, posing a significant security risk. This issue has been rectified in pyLoad's development version 0.5.0b3.dev78. Users are strongly encouraged to upgrade to mitigate this vulnerability.
