Summary
CVE-2024-22415 is a vulnerability affecting the jupyter-lsp coding assistance tool used in JupyterLab environments. If installed in systems without proper file system access control and with exposed jupyter-server instances on non-trusted networks, an attacker can gain unauthorized access and modify files beyond the jupyter root directory. This issue has been resolved in version 2.2.2, and users are strongly advised to upgrade. Those unable to do so should uninstall jupyter-lsp as a precautionary measure.
