Summary

CVE-2024-2238 is a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Premium Addons PRO plugin for WordPress. The issue lies in the Custom Mouse Cursor module, which fails to properly sanitize and escape user inputs. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts into pages. Once executed, these scripts can hijack user sessions or steal sensitive data whenever an injected page is accessed. Versions up to and including 2.9.12 are impacted, emphasizing the need for immediate updates to mitigate this risk.
