Summary
CVE-2024-21899 is a newly identified authentication vulnerability that affects several QNAP operating system versions. This issue could potentially enable unauthorized users to gain network access to affected systems, compromising their security. The affected versions include QTS 5.1.3 and earlier, QTS 4.5.4 and earlier, QuTS hero h5.1.3 and earlier, and QuTS hero h4.5.4 and earlier, as well as QuTScloud c5.1.5 and earlier. QNAP has released patches for these vulnerabilities in QTS 5.1.3.2578 and later, QTS 4.5.4.2627 and later, QuTS hero h5.1.3.2578 and later, and QuTS hero h4.5.4.2626 and later, as well as QuTScloud c5.1.5 and later. It is strongly recommended that users upgrade to these patched versions to address this vulnerability.
