Summary

CVE-2024-2188 is a newly disclosed Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the TP-Link Archer AX50 router. This issue, present in firmware version 1.0.11 build 2022052, allows unauthenticated attackers to manipulate SOAP requests and inject malicious JavaScript code. The attacker can then create a port mapping rule and store the malicious payload within it. Once the rule is loaded, the JavaScript code is executed, potentially leading to unauthorized access or data theft. Users are advised to upgrade their firmware to mitigate this risk.
