Summary

CVE-2024-21771 is a vulnerability affecting the BIG-IP AFM IPS engine. Under certain traffic patterns, the engine may consume excessive resources while matching traffic against signatures, leading to Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) restarts and subsequent traffic disruptions. This issue does not impact software versions past their End of Technical Support (EoTS).
