Summary

CVE-2024-21670 affects Ursa, a cryptographic library for blockchains. The flaw lies within the revocation schema of the Ursa CL-Signatures implementations, specifically impacting the privacy guarantees defined by the AnonCreds verifiable credential model. Malicious holders of revoked credentials can generate valid Non-Revocation Proofs, deceiving verifiers into believing the holder's credential is still valid. Although Ursa has reached end-of-life status, no fix is expected, posing a significant risk to systems reliant on this library for credential verification.
