Summary
CVE-2024-21668 is a vulnerability affecting the react-native-mmkv library before version 2.11.0. This library, which allows easy use of MMKV in React Native applications, inadvertently logged the optional encryption key for the MMKV database in Android system logs. Anyone with access to the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB) and ADB enabled on the device can recover this secret, posing a security risk by undermining the app's thread model. This issue does not impact iOS devices, and version 2.11.0 of the library includes a patch to address the vulnerability.
