Summary

CVE-2024-21666 is a vulnerability affecting Pimcore's Customer Management Framework (CMF). Authenticated and unauthorized users can gain unauthorized access to the list of potential duplicate users and view their PII data. This issue arises due to insufficient permissions enforcement when accessing the `/admin/customermanagementframework/duplicates/list` endpoint. Despite requiring authentication, users without the necessary permissions can still retrieve the data. This vulnerability poses a significant risk to customer privacy and has been remedied in version 4.0.6.
