Summary

CVE-2024-21625 is a vulnerability affecting the SideQuest desktop application for Oculus Quest. Prior to version 0.10.35, the application did not properly sanitize deep link URLs with the custom protocol `sidequest://`. This oversight allowed attackers to execute remote code if a user clicked on a malicious link while using the application and had a device connected. The issue has been resolved in version 0.10.35, which now correctly parses and sanitizes custom protocol links within the electron application.
