Summary

CVE-2024-21501 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting versions of the sanitize-html package prior to 2.12.1. This issue poses a significant risk when the package is used on the backend and allows the style attribute. An attacker can exploit this Information Exposure vulnerability to access files on the targeted server, potentially revealing sensitive information about the system's file structure and project dependencies. The vulnerability can be mitigated by upgrading to the latest version of sanitize-html (2.12.1 or higher).
